Using free Gmail accounts today?
Many teams start with personal Gmail. Here's what changes when you move to Workspace.
Your name on every email
Addresses at your own domain instead of a personal Gmail address, so every message carries your business name.
The company stays in control
Add and remove people, reset passwords and require 2-step verification from one admin console.
Files stay with the business
When someone leaves, their work doesn't leave with their personal account. Their files can be handed over to a colleague.

Google Workspace questions
- What's the difference between Google Workspace and free Gmail?
Workspace gives each person email at your own domain instead of @gmail.com, more storage, and admin controls that let your company manage accounts, security and data. Your team uses the same Gmail, Drive and Meet apps they already know.
- Do we need a new domain?
No. You can use a domain you already own, wherever it's registered. If you don't have one yet, find your domain first and add Workspace to it.
- Can we keep using the Gmail app on our phones?
Yes. Each person signs in to the Gmail, Drive, Calendar and Meet apps with their new work account, alongside any personal account they already use.
- Can we bring our existing emails across?
Yes. Google provides migration tools that copy mail from your old provider into Workspace. We'll help you choose the right method for where your mail is today.
- Does Google use our Workspace data for ads?
No. Google states that it doesn't use your Workspace data for advertising. Your company owns its data, and admins control who can access it.
- How is Google Workspace billed?
Per person, monthly or yearly, through your account with us. Add people as your team grows, and you'll find every invoice in your client area.
